Hairy Dick - please help!

I find that pubic hair is growing up the sides of my penis for almost one inch. I have tried very carefully shaving to remove it, but it grows back even more. Can anybody recommend a safe and not too painful method or material for removing it without damaging the sensitive skin? Hope someone can help. Many thanks. Mike.
